1. What is the purpose of these parenting workshops?

  • These 4 sessions promise candid sharing and stimulating conversations among likeminded sojourners on the parenting journey. It’s a great place to acquire timeless principles, priceless perspectives and practical tools for informed, involved and intentional parenting!


2. Who is this workshop for?

  • This workshop is for parents of children aged 5-12.


3. Where will the workshops be held?

  • The workshops will be held at JPG Hall, Methodist Church of the Incarnation, located at 31 Teck Whye Lane (688798).


4. Is parking available at the venue?

  • We regret that parking is limited at the venue. We recommend arriving early to secure a spot. Alternatively, there are public carparks just behind the church at Block 17 Teck Whye Lane, or opposite the church at Block 9 Teck Whye Lane.​

5. Will there be refreshments available at the venue?

  • Yes, light refreshments will be provided after the workshop. If you have any dietary restrictions, please inform us when you register.


6. Is there a cost to attend the workshop?

  • Yes - $30/pax or you can sign up as a couple for $50/couple. Sign up for all 4 sessions now at a special price of just $100/pax or $180/couple! Do note that the usual price for each of these session is $50/pax and $80/couple. Price is inclusive of material costs ($8/pax/session) and refreshments.


7. What topics will be covered in the workshop?

  • Dialogues 1 and 2: Discovering your parent type and child species.

  • Dialogue 3: Creative Correction

  • Dialogue 4: Nurturing the parent-child relationship

Please note that Dialogues 1 and 2 are complementary and should be taken together. This means you should sign up for both dialogues 1 and 2 when you register.

Dialogues 3 and 4 may be standalone – i.e. you may sign up for one without the other. However, we strongly encourage you to attend all 4 in order to benefit greatly from this parenting workshops.

8. Who will be conducting the workshops?

  • Elvin and Esther Foong are Family Life Educators and founders of The Treasure Box Singapore, a company that aims to inspire and equip parents and help families grow closer to each other. Since 2018, Elvin and Esther have conducted over 200 talks and workshops for preschools, primary schools, neighbourhood RCs, churches and corporate entities. They have been happily married for 15 years and have 2 lovely children - Nathan (12) and Phoebe (10).


9. How long is the workshop?

  • The workshop typically lasts around 2 hours, including time for discussion and Q&A. There will also be refreshments provided after theorkshop for further discussion with participants and the trainers.


10. Will childcare be provided during the workshop?

  • We ask that you make your own childcare arrangements. If you are unable to, please contact us to discuss your need for childcare.


11. Do I need to bring anything to the workshop?

  • Just yourself and a willingness to engage! We’ll provide all necessary materials during the workshop.

13. What if I have specific questions or concerns about my child?

  • There will be time allocated for Q&A, where you can ask specific questions. Additionally, our facilitators will be available after the workshop for one-on-one discussions.
